City Park is a trendy area just outside of downtown that is dominated by green space. The park is a great spot to have picnics, take children to the two playgrounds, or run/ walk along the lakeside trails. This is a dog friendly area, so take your pup out for a full of exercise.
Surrounding the park you have the Denver Museum of Nature & Science has a planetarium, an IMAX theater, and Denver Zoo. Denver City Park golf course is sitting right next to the park. The course is brand new with a beautiful club house. The course will open August of 2019. Just south of the park, East Colfax Avenue has cool cafes, retro-style bars, tasteful restaurants, and the Bluebird Theater concert venue.
